Use this article when importing Salesforce CSV exports into the Wingform CRM.
For the full import process, including upload, mapping, preview, custom fields, and import sessions, read Importing Data into the CRM first.
Recommended import order
Import Salesforce files in this order:
Accounts → Contacts → Leads → Opportunities
This order is important because Contacts and Opportunities can link to Companies using the Company external ID.
Do not reload the Import page between files. Use Import another file so the import session keeps the Company links.
Accounts import as Companies
Import Accounts first. They become Companies in the Wingform CRM.
CompanyEXTID
Imports into: External ID
Used to link Contacts and Opportunities later in the same import session. Keep this column.
Company Name
Imports into: Company name
This field is required.
City
Imports into: City
Stored in the Company address.
State
Imports into: State
Stored in the Company address.
If a website is provided as a bare domain, Wingform can add the https:// prefix automatically.
Contacts import as Contacts
companyEXTID
Imports into: Company by external ID
Matched against Companies imported earlier in the same session.
first_name
Imports into: First name
Used to build the Contact display name.
last_name
Imports into: Last name
Used to build the Contact display name.
email
Imports into: Email
Stored as the Contact email.
country
Imports into: Country
Stored in the Contact address.
If the Company external ID matches an imported Company, the Contact is linked to that Company.
If there is no match, the Contact is still created, but it is not linked to a Company. The import result shows a relationship warning.
Leads
Imports as Leads
First Name
Imports into: First name
Stored on the Lead and used to build the Lead name.
Last Name
Imports into: Last name
Stored on the Lead and used to build the Lead name.
Email
Imports into: Email
Stored as the Lead email.
Company
Imports into: Related Company
Available in mapping, but not linked automatically during import.
Lead Status
Imports into: Pipeline stage
Matched to a CRM stage by name. If there is no match, the default stage is used.
Lead name handling
If the CSV file does not include a dedicated Lead name column, Wingform can build the Lead name from First Name and Last Name.
Example:
First Name: John
Last Name: Smith
Generated Lead name: John Smith
First Name: Maria
Last Name: empty
Generated Lead name: Maria
First Name: empty
Last Name: Chen
Generated Lead name: Chen
The first and last name values are still stored separately on the Lead.
Opportunities import as Tasks
In the Wingform CRM, Salesforce Opportunities become Tasks.
This keeps opportunity follow-up work visible in the CRM. The transaction itself still belongs in the Deal Flow Controller.
CompanEXTID
Imports into: Company by external ID
Matched against Companies imported earlier in the same session.
Amount
Imports into: Amount
Currency symbols and commas are cleaned automatically.
Project Name
Imports into: Task title
This field is required.
Oppurtunity Name
Imports into: Description
The misspelled Salesforce export header is supported.
Stage
Imports into: Stage label
Stored as a free-text label. It does not set the Task status.
Close Date
Imports into: Deadline
Supports common US date formats and ISO date format.
Opportunity status and task completion
If a mapped status value is read as closed, won, or done, the Opportunity is imported as a completed Task.
Other Opportunities are imported as open Tasks.
Supported misspellings
Some Salesforce exports may contain misspelled file or column names.
Wingform recognizes both common misspellings and corrected versions for Opportunity imports, including:
Oppurtunites.csv
Oppurtunity Name
You do not need to rename those columns before import.
Quick checklist
Before importing Salesforce data:
Import Accounts first.
Keep all external ID columns.
Use Import another file between imports.
Do not reload the Import page mid-session.
After importing Leads, review Company links manually if they matter to your workflow.
Check relationship warnings after each import.
