Document & Template Editor

Updated over a month ago

Overview

The built-in online editor is an integral part of Document Management on WINGFORM and allows users to seamlessly view, edit, and collaborate on templates and transaction documents. You can access the editor from the Documents page and when creating or executing a sales transaction.

Key features

Creating new templates

You can always duplicate a template to create a new one for a specific use case. The newly created document will be of the same type (e.g., a Letter of Intent). It is highly recommended that you create templates for different scenarios.

Renaming templates

If necessary, rename your templates or documents to emphasize their use cases.

Editing

Utilize standard editing tools to modify your document.

Tracking changes

In the Track Changes mode, you can make comments, keep track of changes made by you or your team members, and accept or deny them. You can switch off the Track Changes mode at any time. However, if you are invited to collaborate on the document, the Track Changes mode cannot be disabled.

Data Placeholders

Placeholders (labels) are used in the template and document management to automatically populate transaction data (aircraft details, parties, terms and conditions, etc.) in the document during the transaction.

Just drag and drop the placeholder in the necessary place in the document.

You can view the document in "Labels" or "Values" mode. In Deal documents, the values from the transaction will be shown, while in templates, default values will replace the labels. Deal documents always open in the "Values" mode but you can switch to Labels view at any time.

Collaboration

The collaboration feature allows multiple parties to view, redline, or comment on the document. There is no need to send copies of documents for review anymore!

Invite your team members and external users (lawyers, buyer or seller representatives) to collaborate on the document online. Set View or Edit permissions.

When invited to a document, you will find it in the "Documents by invite" folder on the Documents page. You can dismiss the invitation or proceed to the editor.

All collaborators can see other people working on the document in real-time.

Autosave

All changes to the document are automatically saved. If you are working on a template for a specific use case, make sure you create a new template.
